The Financial Services Authority ( FSA ) report the ratio of non-performing loans or non- performing loans (NPLs ) gross national banks as of March 2014 to reach 2 percent . The net NPL of 1.01 percent .

The NPL ratio was considered quite secure in lending . " NPL nett was 1.01 percent . Risk of bank credit is still safe . If we use the threshold , it is about 5 percent , " said Deputy Commissioner of Banking Supervision II FSA Endang Kusulanjari in Jakarta , Friday ( 05/30/2014 ) .

Further mention NPL Endang Credit Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises ( SMEs ) to Rp 23.55 trillion or 19.47 percent of the portion of the total SME loan portfolio , which amounted to Rp 643 trillion .

" For SME 's gross NPLs reached 3.66 percent . NPLs in bank BOOK I grossnya 5.09 per cent , 4.91 per cent of the bank BOOK II , BOOK III bank of 2.99 percent and banks BOOK IV NPLs reached 3.44 percent , " Endang said .

To anticipate the NPL is too high , he added, the FSA warned banks to continue lending to the right and not just any . This is because when the bank was cautious in lending , the NPL can be increased and the health of the banks can be disrupted .
